5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT HEADSET
First of all, Amazon has the best deal for this bluetooth headset. So don't worry about comparing prices. I've done it.
Now the headset works great! I had previously owned the JAWBONE. Which is a sexy headset for those very "important" people that use their headset as an accessory and never take it off. But really. Version 1 of the JAWBONE was the wimpiest...

1.0 out of 5 stars Two defective Units, Terrible Warranty Service
The device is very good. It charges via solar panel, keeps the charge for a long time.
Supports remote answer, hang up. last # redial. However, if you need service through the manufacturer - better luck then me. Mine quit and I can't get the return authorisation # for a month now. So far no help either from US or Finland. In retrospect I wish I had stuck with...

First of all, Amazon has the best deal for this bluetooth headset. So don't worry about comparing prices. I've done it.
Now the headset works great! I had previously owned the JAWBONE. Which is a sexy headset for those very "important" people that use their headset as an accessory and never take it off. But really. Version 1 of the JAWBONE was the wimpiest thing ever. The ear hook alwasy broke. No wonder they supply so many in the box. And it constanly ran out of juice. Annoying!!!
Now the IQUA is sturdy, easy to place on your ear. It has a nifty soft and adjustable ear hook. The best part is that after two months I've only charged it once! And that was because they tell you to charge it before you use it the first time.
Audio quality is great. I only use it in my car or around my house and it works perfectly. No complaints. Now I must say that I purchased this without even touching one. My concern was that the online pics make it look bulky and undesirable. However, this little thing is super cool. I has little solar panels on the side which is more sexier than any earpiece I've seen hanging on everyone else's ear.
What a concept! A solar earpiece. Just wonderful.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good sound quality but something is not right about solar charging., March 12, 2009
This review is from: Iqua BHS-603 Sun Solar Powered Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I lost my Nokia BH-211 which i loved. After that i bought 3 diff headsets and all had clarity issues. Then i heard about iqua sun. I was damn excited by its solar charging feature. The 1st thought that came to mymind was why laptops and cell phones dont have solar panels.

1st the bad part. I dont think the solar charging function is working on my headset because i try to keep it in lighted area all the time and still it dies. I have been charging it every 2-3 days with 3-4 hrs of use everyday in indoor lighted conditions. I bought two of them, so i am going to try the 2nd one also and see if that one works better. Otherwise its useless if it doesnt charge with solar light which is why i paid extra bucks for this headset.

Anyway, I have been using it for over 2 weeks now. I love its sound quality. Very clear at both ends. Most people have reported that its not an easy fit on ear. But that is not totally true. I like using the ear loop with all headsets and surely the loop for this once could be better but still i have given it a good shape so it fits well all the time. Without loop it doesnt stay. And loop is flexible so its a plus.

I will post my experience soon after trying the other unit.

I absolutely love this headset. It was easy to sync with my Blackberry. It holds a great charge and works great in the car while it also gets some external charging from the sun.

Clarity and talk life is pretty good as long as you use the sun and light to extend it. But the circular piece that sits in the ear is a bit hard. If it weren't for the over the ear piece, it might fall out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Early Impression is Very Good, March 15, 2010

I bought this item from Amazon and received it last Saturday.

The headset arrived with the battery not charged. This was fine by me as I wanted to test the solar charging first. 15 minutes of exposure to bright sunlight in my car and I could turn it on. After that I charged it with the charger.

The next day I decided to torture test the battery. I ran mp3 music through it while I worked in the yard and ran errands. Some 9 1/2 hours later I got tired of listening to music and turned it off. The battery never reached the point where the low battery tone sounded.

I did spend most of that time outside or in my car. The sun was bright all day.

The headset is light in weight. I find it comfortable to wear. Sound quality seems OK, but I am not the best judge of that having somewhat impaired hearing.

I really like this headset.

5.0 out of 5 stars terrific headset, November 9, 2008
This review is from: Iqua BHS-603 Sun Solar Powered Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
this thing goes on for days without a recharge

the only negative - since you don't have to charge it - you are more likely to loose it :)

audio quality and volume is good, but no wind shield in this model
buttons are done nicely

1.0 out of 5 stars Dont buy this, October 17, 2010

This is a very bad product. Does not work as advertised. The solar cell in this is pathetic. It doesnot charge by itself. You have to plug it into a power outlet if you want to use the product. If I had to plug in, I might as well have bought a regular blue tooth from Target. I also found that this product is under recall - because it dont work. I returned the product and they replaced it. But the replaced product also doesnt work.

2.0 out of 5 stars Iqua doesn't live up to promise, September 21, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Iqua BHS-603 Sun Solar Powered Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I bought this thinking that I would rarely have to plug this in and it would be great for trips to forego the duffle bag full of charging cables. Well it doesn't quite work that way. At my workplace I positioned it under my desk lamp because it's supposed to charge under any strong light - well it didn't. I would turn it on to talk to my partner at my lunchtime and if I wasn't standing directly in the sun (with my head tilted toward the sun) it would sometimes start beeping at me telling me the battery was low. I have had to charge it three times in the two months I've had it. It is really a no bells and whistles bluetooth though. NO noise filters whatsoever. My friends can hear everything around me when I use it. If you're going to spend a day at the beach on a sunny day, or if you can leave it hanging in your car (which I do now) then it will probably work for you. I am very disappointed with the unit. I actually went out and bought a BlueAnt T1 which is amazing btw. The seller I bought this from did everything promised. They get top marks.

2.0 out of 5 stars Solar bluetooth needs work, July 12, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Iqua BHS-603 Sun Solar Powered Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I got this device SOLELY because it was solar powered. That aspect works relatively well but the earpiece refuses to stay in place; I had to remove the rubber circle and replace it with an old Jawbone rubber piece. It is still loose. But the worst thing is that it drops calls and seems to connect and disconnect at will. This is such a great concept but it is so poorly executed. If the Jawbone or Jabra or even the Motorola folks come out with a solar model, I'll get that. This one needs a lot of work.
