The Main Book on its Topic,

The title is a bit awkward, but the book is an important contribution to understanding the growth of Christianity in and among Iranians. The most powerful section, in my opinion, is near the end of the book when he details how the Iranian government tried to silence the voices among the Assemblies of God leaders, leading to the extermination of Bishop Hovsepian. Other valuable sections are his insights on the Revolution and its negative economic outcome. To his credit, unlike many evangelicals, he shows respect for non-evangelical Christians like the Armenians and Catholics.
One would hope for some projections regarding the future of Iranian Christianity, but he fails to do this. Also, his short conclusion, that the topic is 'truly intriguing' goes without saying. |
