5.0 out of 5 stars Perhaps my Favorite CD Ever, March 21, 2009

This review is from: In Ireland (Audio CD)
I first saw this concert on TV when I was a kid. I knew I would enjoy the music, so I taped it. I then proceeded to kill the VHS by watching it too many times. Now, I listen to the CD over and over and over. I've listened to it so many times now, that I can actually sing these tunes without the CD... and they're really complicated tunes! Another reviewer said it was relaxing. It just makes me want to get up and dance. I like to clean to it, or dance around with my boys to it. I like almost every genre of music out there, and I listen to it all. But, no matter what kind of music is my current favorite, I always come back around to listening to this CD again before too long. And every time I do, I fall in love all over again. If you even sort of like Irish music, or flute music, you'll fall in love too. I very highly recommend it.

I grew up listening to this CD, but every time I lend it to a friend - it "disappears". I've bought this CD 4 times, and have been happy to do it each time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Galway and Chieftains superb, April 17, 2008

Once again, James Galway and the Chieftains have succeeded in making music to help you relax. It is so soothing and well performed, that one can take a nap, unwind from a hectic day, or just sit an enjoy the peace that comes from quality music. I don't recommend it while driving, unless you have lots of coffee, or someone to talk with, to help you stay awake!

4.0 out of 5 stars "In Ireland" almost = "Over The Sea to Skye", July 17, 2011
This review is from: In Ireland (Audio CD)
Note that the album "In Ireland" is the same as the album "Over The Sea to Skye", except that "Over The Sea to Skye" contains an additional 16th track.

Easy listening, very nice Celtic Classical music. Typical Ireland tunes of jigs & dances with flutes & whistles.
