5.0 out of 5 stars Iris & Monty book #3..., September 30, 2005
This review is from: Iris (Seven Brides) (Mass Market Paperback)
Another great book in the Seven Brides series. This is book #3 in the series. #1 was Rose & #2 was Fern. They have all been excellent in my opinion. In this 3rd book you follow Iris & Monty on a cattle drive. Iris has always had a crush on Monty but never realized that she had actually loved him all the time & Monty doesn't want to like Iris because he thinks she'll be like her mother but he can't hold back his emotions for very long. The whole family is still involved in this story & you can't help but love them all. Highly recommended!

P.S. I just needed to correct another reviewer & point out that Leigh Greenwood is a male & not a female. It's a nice change & unless you visited his website you probably wouldn't know the difference.

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting character personality development, December 1, 2008
This review is from: Iris (Seven Brides) (Mass Market Paperback)
Considering the fact that Iris starts out the spoiled darling of society, I couldn't help but find her incredibly irritating at times. However, she redeems herself in the end by becoming determined to be the kind of wife she thinks the hero, Monty Randolph, wants/needs...so I can respect her now. Especially since he is of the same mind, i.e., making himself and his life over into what he thinks Iris wants/needs. At times, this story was truly touching. At others, everybody and their brother (especially Iris's) needed slapped. :o)

This story contains graphic love scenes.

One in a series. Each one was a page turner and left me looking for the rest of the series. Leigh Greenwood is a wonderful author, if you like the old west.

5.0 out of 5 stars I thought this book was very exiting!, April 12, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Iris (Seven Brides) (Mass Market Paperback)
I am currently reading this series in order. When I read "Rose" I couldn't remember reading a better story. Then I read "Fern" and liked it just as well, or maybe even a little better. I like how the author uses very good descriptions with her stories. She is very discriptive, about the moods and feelings but doesn't dwell to much on the actual, physical discriptive aspect. She lets your imagination run free without "overwriting" a scene. I'm almost finished with this book, and can't wait to get started on the next one.Great Job Ms. Greenwood!!!!
