Thanks Dan for preserving these songs! The album is fantastic! As you are listening, you can just imagine men on a ship a "hundred years ago" working the sails and ropes...you just want to sing along with every song! I gave my first album away to someone in Salem, MA celebrating Nathaniel Bowditch's anniversary. (Nathaniel invented the sextant and was author of "The New American Practical Navigator.")Now I must buy a second!

Saw this in Smithsonian magazine-of course it was much cheaper on Amazon and if you love Irish ballad music, you'll love this CD. It is fun to hear.

Being a pirate reenactor I love this album. I would love to get the lyrics though. It would be great to sing , "The Flying Cloud" At the end of the Pirate Gathering in ST Augustine last weekend of Oct. Hope to see you all there

It's ok. Just like most cd's one doesn't like ALL the songs. Some I like and others are so-so.
