Great Book!
I think that this book is great for learning Irish. Even though on the cassette the words are spoken fast, it is very helpful. There is a word list with the English definitions on each page, and there is illustrations that display the Irish words. If you want to learn Irish, this is the book to get.

Not as good as I expected...
Trying to learn Irish, I found there was no way I could have understood this book without a fundemental understanding of Irish grammar, which you can always do for free online. I wouldn't recommend getting this if you don't know anything about the language. I also found in this book the speakers speak very fast, and though I know this is how the language is spoken it...

Trying to learn Irish, I found there was no way I could have understood this book without a fundemental understanding of Irish grammar, which you can always do for free online. I wouldn't recommend getting this if you don't know anything about the language.I also found in this book the speakers speak very fast, and though I know this is how the language is spoken it is very, very difficult to relate what they are saying in the cassette to any of the text in the book. I suppose this would do if you are planning to visit Ireland and want a rudementary understanding of the language, but if you are seriously interested in learning this then I suggest you look elsewhere.
