5.0 out of 5 stars Eden's Bridge Celtic Christmas December 13, 2010
Format:Audio CD
Coming across this album at a bookstore, it was only the producer's name on back which tipped me off as to the actual artists involved -- being, as noted only on the inner sleeve, Eden's Bridge. As the band notes on its website, they had no knowledge of the re-release of their orginally titled Celtic Christmas(Eden's Bridge), and even less awareness of having been relocated to Ireland, as none of its members are from there!

It is, nonetheless, a striking album. Book-ended by "O Come, O Come Emmanuel," it follows the pattern of other Eden's Bridge projects in intermixing traditional celtic tunes with original compositions. Once past the slightly chiding "Christmas Is With Us Again," the lyrics deepen to the moment when Mary encounters a mystery by which "shock waves echo[ed] through all time" (in "Magnificat"). The suite which follows is in some ways similar to Michael Card's efforts on "The Promise." Very much worth picking up (or down-loading) despite a label's clueless packaging.

5.0 out of 5 stars Irish Christmas February 28, 2014
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
The music is performed by Eden's Bridge and contains many favorites that harken back to their deep Celtic Roots. If traditional Irish and Celtic music stirs your soul, then you will find this album deeply moving and a great one for your collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Same as One Done in 1998 October 8, 2013
Format:Audio CD
I have their Christmas CD that was released in 1998. This is the same thing, if listening to the samples is any indication. I enjoy their first albums very much and I'm looking to get others, hoping for the same high quality, worshipful songs. Don't let the "Rock" classification scare you, in my opinion their early albums are quite conservative.
