This book is a fairly direct review of the great contributions the Irish provided to the settling of eastern Canada. While my interest lies more with Quebec City, it was still interesting historical reading centered on Monteal. Anyone with Irish roots that were put down in this part of Canada will find a kinship with the settlers who helped shape the area.
