About the Author

Kim McGuire was born in California and raised in Dallas. She moved to Ireland for love and it was the lack of such a book when planning her own wedding which led her to write The Irish Wedding Book. Despite her non-Irish background she has become the world's leading expert on Irish weddings. She is editor of weddingsonline.com, contributing editor and advice columnist in Irish Wedding and New Home and her writing has appeared in many newspapers and magazines internationally. She is also a wedding co-ordinator and has organized weddings in Ireland, England, America and Russia.

I purchased this book while I was planning a wedding with an Irish theme. I did not want to be tacky with "danny boy" being sung, or leprechauns as decoration. This book did not provide any information that was helpful for me. It was an interesting read, but that is all.
