Another great book by J. French,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Irish Rogue (Mass Market Paperback)
I loved Judith French's historical romances and I've been reading them for years. After a long day at work and getting the kids to soccer practice and doing homework, there's nothing better than climbing into bed and reading a good book. Well, once again Ms. French didn't disappoint me. I loved IRISH ROGUE. As always, the heroine was a strong woman who needed to be loved and the hero was so loveable! Can't wait for her next book

Romance Lives!,
By Rene' Bannon (Los Angeles, Ca) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Irish Rogue (Mass Market Paperback)
Being married to a man from Northern Ireland, this book held a special place in my heart. The authenticity of the book was surprising and appreciated by both myself and my husband. Our heroine finds herself in the arms of this European stranger, and I felt that both of them were searching for their own individual escape. As the story unfolds, this reader found enchantment, excitement and a really welcome trip to a far away land in a far away time. The Irish Rogue was heartstirring, passionate and I went through three hankies! Do yourself a favor and "escape" with it today.

Good read,
This review is from: The Irish Rogue (Mass Market Paperback)
In 1820 in a bad section of Baltimore, Michael O'Ryan rescues a pregnant Anne Davis from some street punks. He needs money and a safe haven so he offers to marry the wealthy but single Anne. In exchange for giving her child legitimacy he gets needed money to send to friends in Ireland.A desperate Anne accepts and they marry before they go to her father's Maryland plantation to live in a marriage of convenience. They begin to fall in love, but both know he will leave soon. When her father dies, she inherits the estate, but learns of its financial trouble. After freeing the slaves, he gets his fellow Irish to live and work on the estate in exchange for land. Michael and Anne are now in love, but he still plans to leave because honor reminds him that he has promises to keep. Judith French, multiple award winning historical romance author, has written an entertaining Americana tale that occurs during "The Era of Good Feeling." The story line is filled with action, but it is the two wonderful opposites finding love amidst their troubles that make this a choice tale. As with some of her other historical romances such as RACHEL'S CHOICE and MCKENNA'S BRIDE, Ms. French makes the past seem like it is happening right now in front of the reader's eyes. Another sure-fire keeper...,
This review is from: The Irish Rogue (Mass Market Paperback)
I loved Irish Rogue. I could imagine myself as Anne, falling for O'Ryan, a man she was wildly attracted to, but unsure whether or not to trust him. This is another of Judith's "action-packed, filled with sensual attraction and tender moments" romances! I would recommend Irish Rogue. I'll like a bit of that Irishman meself!

Loved it, couldn't put it down! Michael O'Ryan is a bold and exciting man. Just the hero I want taking care of me. Anne is a strong practical and fiery woman. They both show what this county is made of, strong honest people who helped the cause of independence for people of every color. I'd love to see Brad Pitt as Michael O'Ryan!
