I had another pair of boots similar to these that lasted almost 13 years with regular use. This is very similar to that one and I am pleased with this later version. I recommend sole inserts such as Danner's Airthotic Instep Arch Support for an even better, more comfortable fit. I wear the size I ordered (9-1/2)and they fit nicely. If you wear heavy socks, it may take 1/2 size larger.
