5.0 out of 5 stars Will set yer sporran swingin', Jimmy
Made in Scotland from girders. Irn Bru (which is Scottish for "Iron Brew" for all you iggerent Yanks) has more chemicals than the Pripyat river and barely a trace of natural ingredients. Rumour has it that Barrs make the stuff by collecting the rivets that fall off the Forth Rail Bridge into the river below and storing them in barrels of water collected from puddles in...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the greatest drink in the world, but it's alright.
As an American, Irn Bru is not readily available to me. I heard about it a few years ago and wanted to try some. A good friend of mine went to Scotland and said that it was really good, so I broke down and had a 12 pack shipped to my home. I chilled one and took a sip. To me, it tasted like the little sugary bubble gum sodas you can get in grocery stores for about a...

The fizz comes from the little nugget of Plutonium 239 at the bottom of every can. Keep that! If you collect enough of them you could build your own nuclear bomb*. Amaze your friends and strike fear into your enemies' very hearts!

And if you ever see someone drinking diet Irn Bru, glass him**.

*Joke. But the rest of the review is TRUE, I tell you!
*OK that was another joke. But the rest of the review is really is true, I promise.

The soda came within a reasonable time, but it's freshness seems compromised. It's still good, but tastes a bit different then drinking it in Scotland.

4.0 out of 5 stars Irn-Bru... the cheapest soda in Scotland, August 1, 2011

I ran across Irn-Bru entirely by accident in a grocery store in Aberfoyle. Coca Cola was nearly 2 quid a bottle. Irn-Bru had 1 litre bottles for a pound. Being on a budget, we bought it, not really expecting much.
BEST SODA EVER! I am addicted. Since then, I've been trying to find an affordable way to get it in the US. The ideal way would be to go back to Aberfoyle and get some myself, but that's too long to wait!

If you haven't tried it. Do so.

As an American, Irn Bru is not readily available to me. I heard about it a few years ago and wanted to try some. A good friend of mine went to Scotland and said that it was really good, so I broke down and had a 12 pack shipped to my home. I chilled one and took a sip. To me, it tasted like the little sugary bubble gum sodas you can get in grocery stores for about a quarter. I am aware that it's very popular across the pond, but I personally didn't find it to be amazing. On the other hand, many people I knew thought it was delicious and began paying me $5 a bottle for the soda and I made my money back plus another 10 dollars. So, in a way, that was a positive.
