Book Description

Throughout the course of his career, strength and fitness trainer Wesley Silveira (AKA "Iron Addict") helped dozens of world-class bodybuilders and powerlifters win stage shows and shatter records. But most of his clients were Joe and Jane Average—ordinary men and women trying to change their lives for the better.

This collection is the best of Silveira's advice for achieving that change. If—like most of us—you’re searching for direction, his straight-talking blend of fitness expertise, life experience, and spiritual insight can put you on the path you’ve been looking for.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stop spinning your wheels April 4, 2011
By LG1
Format:Kindle Edition
I never spoke to Wes or trained under him. However, I did read his two other books (A Body of Work and Principles of Fat Loss). I have also read most of his posts on as well as another board where I assume he used to mod back in the day.

In numerous parts within IA's Way of Change, it almost felt like the "Cliff notes" version to the other two books I mentioned as well as the actual board/forum itself.

Very insightful, entertaining and with tons of nuggets of wisdom from Iron Addict (Wes) himself.

I would recommend this book as well as the two other books for anyone interested in the real deal, no BS on training, recovery/rest, nutrition/diet and most importantly life in general.

Congratulations on a job well done!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great motivational and life changing collection April 4, 2011

Way of Change is a very well organized collection of Wesley's thoughts and posts from years past on his forum, This is as close as you will ever come to having a conversation with one of the most brilliant men I have ever had the opportunity to talk with. His views on weight training and how it affects your life in a positive manner will forever echo in my mind. It is a complete work to get you where you want to be physically and mentally. I HIGHLY recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A book on life, living, and training... April 3, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Wesley was a personal friend of mine. This book contains a number of his thoughts, all of which point towards changing your life where it needs to be changed. If you have any interest in how weight training can positively impact your life, improve your self-esteem for the right reasons, and bring about the physical changes you desire, there is no other work like this on the market. It is truly unique. More information and support can be found at his forum, [...]

5.0 out of 5 stars In the best way possible, not what I was expecting November 5, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Not so much a diet, bodybuilding or even weight loss book as it is a how to guide on improving oneself. It goes way deeper than you would expect it to. I would recommend it to any person beginning in training and dieting. In general though the book has enough philosophy for anyone to appreciate it. I read it beginning to end once I bought it and still reference it for diet and training advice.

More About the Author

Ed Ditto's unconventional writing has consistently won praise for its playfulness and unpredictability, which prompted one reviewer to say: "More twists than a nest of garter snakes!" As a long-time freelance journalist and fiction writer, Ed brings a mix of street smarts, good humor, and dramatic irony to his work.

His work has appeared in over a dozen local and national newspapers and magazines, and he was honored to write the first novel ever published by the American Quilters Society. He studied thriller writing with Christopher Keane, the screenwriter whose novel "The Hunter" was the basis for Steve McQueen's last movie, and he's recently been selected to teach literary deconstruction at the John C. Campbell folk school in North Carolina. His latest book is "Conquer The Cage," a collaboration with nationally-recognized mixed martial arts coach John Pinder.

Ditto's books are professionally-edited and family friendly.
