Iron Age is an absolute treat for fans of the "older" Marvel stories. Fans of Iron Man: Demon in a Bottle (Marvel Premiere Classic) and X-Men: The Dark Phoenix Saga will most likely enjoy this a lot. Christos Gage, best known for Avengers: The Initiative and Avengers Academy, weaves a fun tale of our favorite Iron Man trapped in the past. His goal? Stop Dark Phoenix from destroying the world. The best part of Iron Age is it's execution. It's told across four extra sized issues, each broken down into chapters. Each chapter tells Future Tony's encounter with a hero from the past. Each chapter has a different artist, most of them are good. It is really interesting to see Tony interact with these old characters. My only gripe about this event is it's abrupt end. Overall, this is well worth checking out if you liked the classic tales.

A cool look at Iron Man through different eras as modern day Tony must travel through time in an effort to stop the dark phoenix. The art changes for the different eras and there are plenty of mix-ups as is common in time ravel storylines. One chapter that stood out, was Iron man meeting Captain Britain during the Jasper's Warp as seen in the Captain Britain Omnibus. This was one of the better Iron Man stories in recent years and considering the high quality of stories, that is quite an accomplishment.
