5.0 out of 5 stars It's Grrrr-eat!, December 29, 1998

This is a great album by a great artist. One of Christy Moore's more traditional albums, it's got a number of great reels scattered around. "Trip to Jerusalem" is one of my absolute favorite songs. A classic Irish CD, it's a tremedously fun album with nary a blemish.

Another gem from Christy's most productive mid-sevanties period. This truely is an album without fault which brought together the best musicians of the time. This shows off every facet of Moore's pesonality;the serious("Dunlavin Green"), the hilarious("Patrick was a Gentleman")'the international("The Sun Is Burning")and the local("Joe McCann").Scattered in between are brilliant instrementals played by expert musicians such as Gabrial McKeon, Noel Hill Tony Linnane and Andy Irvine. The album comes to a close with the beautiful "John O'Dreams". The perfect antidote to 1999's awful "Traveller" to remind you that Christy Moore is still a god!

Classic early Christy Moore et friends. Full of social comments, traditional reels, story telling, great "craic" and Gabriel McKeon's incredible pipe playing. Worth buying, even just for Christys's fabulous rendition of "John O'Dreams", never mind "Patrick was a Gentleman". Great Stuff!
