this book was reccomended by a friend. it took some time to hunt down a copy from the origional release, however it is possible and dirt cheap. from the moment i read the first page i was hooked, it a cleaverly written story of a young girl, a tale about her magical upbringing in a world of dragons and fairys. there are deep messages hidden in swanwick's prose. please...

If this was the first deconstruction of the fantasy genre written (I don't know if it...

If this was the first deconstruction of the fantasy genre written (I don't know if it was) I'll give him an extra two stars for that. But I certainly see no reason why anyone else needs to write one.
