Last album with Fast Eddie, good stuff,

This is the last album to feature the 'classic' Motorhead line-up, and ends up being another good, but not classic, Motorhead album. It's hard to say why this one doesn't have the same sonic impact as Ace of Spades, Hammersmith, Bomber, or Overkill. Probably the production, which in Fast Eddie's hands is a bit muted. The songs are great, but it's about this time in the band's career when you realize you've heard all you're ever gonna here from 'em. So you could reasonably say this is the last Motorhead album you need to buy, although subsequent albums have gems worth checking out. Stand out tracks include "Go to Hell", "Sex and Outrage", and of course "Iron Fist"

NEEDS NO INTRODUCTION !!!,

This was the last MOTORHEAD album featuring Fast Eddie Clarke, who went on to try to obtain commercial mainstream success forming the dreadful FASTWAY. IRON FIST is solid record, better produced than its predecesors, the masterpieces ACE OF SPADES, BOMBER and OVERKILL. There are twelve songs, each of one them very good. Taylor's drumming is at peak form here.

Very fine!!!,

The last Motorhead album with the classic line-up featuring Fast Eddie Clarke on guitars. It's a very good album. Lemmy's voice seldom sounded so great like in this one. But, after a foolish argument between Lemmy and Clarke, Clarke left forever. A shame.... But Motorhead went on and on!! |
