5.0 out of 5 stars I love these!
I've been using Gravity Gripp balls for about five years, and I love them. The pound of weight feels nice in my hand, and the squeezing is good for my hands and forearms. I get some exercise value from squeezing, but much of what I get is stress relief. Everyone at work laughs about me and my "squeezy balls," but they make me happy. 5.0 out of 5 stars I love these!, July 10, 2010

My local sporting goods store stopped carrying the a few years ago, and finding them on Amazon has been great.

Folks who've never used them might want a couple of warnings. First, they don't last forever. Depending on your strength, how much you squeeze them, and how dirty your hands are, the rubber covers break down. My co-workers can gauge my stress levels by how quickly I have to change these balls. Eventually, they lose some of the resistance, so you aren't working your muscles as hard. Later, they break down to the point of developing a hole. They are filled with small lead shot and some seeds. The seeds tend to be ground to dust with use. The hole will allow the shot to escape, and I've given a squeeze and then had lead shot all over my desk. If you make the mistake of putting one in the back of the desk instead of throwing it away immediately, the cover breaks down into a gooey material.

None of these disadvantages lessens my love for the Gravity Gripp. If you want a nice hand strengthener and stress reliever, you need to try one of these.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product to keep hand and fingers loose, August 14, 2010

I have a bit or arthritis in my hands and fingers. I play guitar for fun, and wanted to help keep my hands and fingers in shape. Enter the Gripp. You can manipulate the Gripp in many ways to help increase strength in your hands and fingers. My hands and fingers feel much better after using the Gripp... little if any pain, and much looser. I had a Gripp many years ago and as another reviewer noted, the covering will eventually wear out over time. But for the price of a replacement Gripp, this is no issue for me. Stiff or sore hands/fingers? Try a Gripp.

Mine is falling apart after very few uses. The skin material is cracked, peeling, and has holes opening up all over it. I've seen better products than this given away for free. Don't buy this expecting it to last more than a few weeks. It's the right idea; just plain bad materials.

Update: I sent an email to Iron Gloves. They responded promptly and quickly sent me a replacement. Too early to tell if the replacement will hold up better, but rest assured that IG stands behind their products.

I purchased this and used it very infrequently, but just over the past month, the outer layer started breaking apart. Definitely not durable, and I would not recommend purchasing this.

2.0 out of 5 stars Worked for a while..., May 26, 2011

The ball worked well for a while, although it would dry out my hands. A few weeks ago the outer layers started to come apart and today a hole developed and all the stuffing came out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Grip Training Out There, March 27, 2011

I've tried many variations of grip training before - different balls, spring loaded devices, etc. The Gripp is the best of all of them. It's fun to play with - we end up tossing it around the office all the time. It's pretty firm so you can really get a good grip work out. After using it for about a month, I can already tell that my grip is getting stronger.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than the average stress ball, February 25, 2011

There isn't a whole lot to say about this, but if you're interested in a little more forearm strength when doing something as simple as squeezing a stress ball, this product has you covered. It is well made and comfortable to use.

One note is the TSA might check it at the airport, as apparently the beads/sand or whatever are metal to create the weight, and its density and inability to take it apart meant they couldn't look inside. They looked it over for about 10 minutes before deciding to let me keep it. lol

This is no ordinary stress ball. I recently shattered my wrist in a fall and needed to strengthen it with some squeeze therapy. This ball is not like the ordinary balls that fall apart after a few weeks of abuse. This one has a stronger outer lining and the extra weight naturally begins the strengthening therapy. I have been using it now for a couple of months and it has made a big difference.

Amazon's price even beat all of the ebay prices.
