As any video game/movie tie-in would be, Iron Man is available on many platforms, including the DS, of which this version of the game ends up being the best. Sadly, that isn't really saying a whole lot, but for what its worth, Iron Man on the DS is a fun diversion for a while. Playing as 'ol shellhead, Iron Man offers up a pretty good looking 3-D engine for the DS that is nicely detailed for the most part, despite the fact that the game's camera doesn't do you any favors as off-screen enemies will fire at you. Not to mention that the game is kind of short and offers some clunky controls, and for a game screaming for some touch-screen originality, Iron Man doesn't offer any. There are some good points though that save Iron Man from being a total clunker, including the fact that the game does offer a bit of challenge, and film star Robert Downey Jr. provides some good voice work as well. All in all, Iron Man on the DS isn't bad, but it isn't anything special in the least either.

My kids are too young to watch the movie, so I bought this game thinking that would satisfy their superhero dreams. Check out my Nintendo DS review of Incredible Hulk.

As it turns out, the voice acting and the music in Iron Man are authentic. However, the game is really difficult for my young gamers and they quickly lost interest and returned to playing Ben 10 Protector of the Earth and Spider-Man: Friend or Foe -- two games that are much easier to master.

I won't sell my copy of Iron Man, though. I have a feeling my kids will pick it up again when they are a little older. I can't give this four stars because it didn't grab my kids' attention like the Incredible Hulk did, but I wouldn't recommend selling your copy either.

This game is much better suited for older kids (older than 7) who can follow the storyline and will enjoy the missions and challenges Iron Man offers.

In summary, look elsewhere for young kids but this game will satisfy older superhero fans.

Once you start playing this, you won't want to put it down. It's one of those games that you will have to keep trying again and again until you beat a level and I love games like that. Although, depending on what difficulty setting you have it on, you may want to make sure you don't upgrade until you need to to make sure the game stays challenging. You can upgrade things such as your health, unibeam, repulsor, etc. When I played this game on a normal setting, I had completely forgotten about upgrades until level 5 and when I did upgrade, the game got easier. I recently played it on super hero difficulty and even though I upgrade when I get enough points, it's still a challenge. Also, in the levels, there are certain amount of things such as tanks, helicopters, etc., so you can get points for upgrades depending on how many of them you destroy. I also like that it gives you things to do after you've completed the game. In One Man Army, ranging from easy to hard, you basically see how many stuff you can blow up until you die. So if you're looking for a fun addicting game, I would recommend this.

It was a good deal, as the game came through priority mail two days after I bought it, so kudos to the seller. But thats the only reason this game deserves 3 and not 1 star. At the beginning, you must escape the 10 Rings base, and it loosely follows the storyline. Its looks ok, as you have hand to hand combat (your in the non-flight compatible Mark 1), so thats I guess a plus. But then you (Tony Stark) builds Mark 3, the standard Iron Man, and for starters, your character is the size of a Black Hawk helicopter, you can only fly, and the game is way too difficult. Also, your character never stays on ground, because you are in constant flight. The map is extremely off; I'm not sure if either my laboratory is located in the Texan panhandle (for those of you who know Iron Man he operates in Malibu) or if thats where I went to fight and redeem villages from terrorists (Texas villages?). Overall, I would NOT recommend this to anybody.

A little challenging for those under 10 years of age. Great entertainment and clever scenarios. Recommend as a stocking stuffer.

It is hard to play. It's not like the movie, it is different. Real good graphics. Can do a lot of different stuff in the game.
