Short, sweet & to the point: I rate this game at a solid 4.5. Great graphics, weapons, etc...

Only big downside for me is flight controls require aiming both Wii remote & Nunchuk. If you're not 100% focused on what each hand is doing you'll have a hard time steering while in flight mode.

Overall I'm very satisfied with the purchase and would recommend to just about anyone.

FYI to parents of young kids: there is some language in the cut scenes that may not be appopriate for younger players. Violence is not very detailed, though.

Conceptually, this is great but let's get real.....I am a pretty good gamer but the flying aspect on this is HORRIBLE and nearly, if not 100%, impossible to control and/or master. Graphics way too dark. Really, save yourself $ and aggravation and skip this one. Wish I did!

UPDATE: JUNE 5TH, 2010

Since the last review, I dusted off the case and tried again. Finally, mastered the second level of flying (after several hours) and moved on to other levels. I have to eat my words on the first review as this is a very fun game, once you can master the flying aspect of it. A couple of cons are the dark graphics and a one player game. It is very challenging and would recommend.

I moved from 1 star to 4 stars.

Like i said it is a great game but there is alot of swearing and i dont like that. Other wise it is a great game the graphics arent bad but there not amazing either. I agree on the freedom thing you really dont get that much freedom but i can deal with that.

My dad got us this game because we had no games at our moms house.
I guess i'm different from all the other people on earth in that i find the controls really easy and fun. i like blowing stuff up so this game is really fun for me. my favorite part is flying though. the only things i didnt like about this game is that i would fly too high up or on this floating fortress level too far down and an annoying voice would ask me if i was lost. i also didnt like that you could unlock new suis but they were just from the comic and all the suits functioned and performed exactly the same. i really hope they make a sequel with revisions to these problems.

if you dont like constantly aiming at the screen or are just terrible at it then you may not like this game, but given enough time you will get good at it and it should be no problem.
it is rated t so if you dont want your kids to hear some cussing (its just words that they say on tv no f-bombs or anything like that) or think that blasting people backwards or shooting them down is too violent then you shouldnt get this game. i rated it 5 stars for fun and 4 stars overall because of the suit thing and the annoying voice asking if you got lost everytime you flew too high. so if anyone is a fan of a decent action game with varying levels of difficulty and fun controls this is the game for you.

This game isn't a typical beat-em-up type game, which is kind of what I was hoping for. I want to kill and destroy. However, since Ironman is pretty much indestructible it would be too easy if that were the case. So, I found this game to be a tad boring. Not enough killing. A lot of flying/hovering and destroying missles before they reach civilian targets. The enemies' Ironman faces have unrealistic-high-tech weaponry. Thanks to Stark's weapons company. So you'll get a lot of that. And blowing up some weapon caches here and there.

Ironman's life is setup a little differently, he needs to have even powerlevels to each of his systems: weapons, propulsion, armor, etc. So you'll have to keep that in check or else you will suffer a loss of a "heart"/energy (backup systems). So essentially these are his lives.

If your looking for a beat-em-up superhero type game, Fantastic 4 was good. Also, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was decent and pretty cool. Marvel Alliance was good, except you needed to keep the nunchuk even/straight up or else the camera angle would spin, because the tilt of the nunchuk is tied into the camera angle (a poor choice). Another problem with Marvel Alliance was that you needed to "sweep" for experience points, meaning that after you killed guys you'd have to go back over each one and collect the experience orbs that each villian drops.

I have to give this game a 5 star because it's a very good game even without some things that could be improved. I'm at the middle of the missions and I have years of playing video games in many platforms. If you like games like Call Of Duty, this is for you:

What I like:
1 - not a hard game from the beginning, you learn to play as you accomplish the missions (good learning curve)
2 - it has bosses at the end of some stages, I didn't expected from this kind of story line based game.
3 - can also use machine gun and missiles
4 - can fight against helicopters
5 - You can destroy flying missiles.

It's true that has some issues in the language and not enough freedom to fly but it's a wonderful job made by the programmers. It worth the money you pay, but you must like the movie because it's very related to it.

I got this game after the Iron Man movie, I thought it would be like 20 missions. I was able to finish it in two days though. If you get a new iron man suit it is the same as the other suits. There's no check points. There's no free play. And you cant get the villain suits like iron monger.

I wouldn't recommend this game because of low replayability.

This game is awesome! I love it, the graphics are great, the weapon selection is awesome, and the sound is amazing. Overall this game is great. You really should buy this.

this game sticks to the story a little bit. sometimes its frustrating when you have to press buttons to regain your life. the graphics in gameplay arent bad but the cutscenes were horrible they werent nothing special and it wasnt a very variety of weapons just repulser unibeam and a gun what about rockets that come out his shoulders like on the movie. and this game does kinda have to much potty mouth for a t game. and last there arent any good costomes to play with theyre all ugly the only good costumes are the mark 3 and the classic with this said i reccomend this game u should check it out

This game is awsome but it could be longer but i would totaly reccomend this game and you will love it with action and adventure also this game has lots of missles guns laser beams and you can upgrade these wepons and shoot down any breathing bad bucko out there remember to always use combo moves or fire power to win easier it is like impossible to die in this game evev in hard mode becuase you really dont have lives but like an energy source , so have fun. Tip shoot from air for easier target
