Not what I thought,

The mat shipped quickly and was packed well but the mat itself is just not as pretty as I thought it would be. The cut outs are crude leaving more material in the cut out area than should be. I think it will last though since it is quite heavy and thick. The description says "high quality" but the appearance of it does not show it. It looks like it was stamped out with no attention to detail. Oh, and maybe it is just my oversight, but the mat has a slick texture which should not be a surprise to me since it tells me that it has "the look of iron". I am not sure how it is supposed to wipe dirt off your shoes when there is not a rough texture to it but that is just something I did not think through completely.

All in all this product is on par with the description. The price is very reasonable for what you get, but you get what you pay for. I have another cast iron style rubber door mat (Allen & Roth) that is twice as thick as this mat. The Fleur de Lis mat is thin (less than 1/4 inch) and the surface contours are more flat than rounded, so it does not give the illusion of a cast iron, its quite simply a rubber door mat. For me that missing thickness means that my kids will track in extra snow into the house. This mat will be used on our side door because of this. So why 4 stars - the bargain price - I felt the price was more than fair for what you get just don't expect to get the quality of something that costs 2 to 3 times more.

at my front door. Would recommend it to everyone.
