This machine works well, I have burned many a calorie on this baby. I have had it for about 6 months now. It is a pretty quiet machine, one of the wheels squeaks no matter how much grease is applied...Stride length is a bit short if you are tall however, I am 5'6" and am satisfied with it. Purchase a tube of all purpose grease with this and apply it heavily when you initially put everything together. I am satisfied with the sound, the one wheel just drives me crazy. Probably just user error. Great for the price.

I bought an Ironman 1850 elliptical in February of 2010. It arrives and I spend a few hours assembling it only to find that the computer does not work. Some back lighting works but no functions at all. Like an idiot, I contacted the people that import the machine and sell it rather than Amazon. The customer service was polite and addressed my concerns and assured me they would send a new computer (but they didn't say when). Several weeks and many phone calls later, no computer. Seems they are on back order from China and here it is the end of October (8 months later) and I still have no computer. I have probably called 10 or more times with no resolution. If I had contacted Amazon sooner, I could have spent a few hours taking the unit apart, boxing it up, dragging it to UPS and eventually received a refund. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 0 is because we figured out a way to make the computer work, UP SIDE DOWN!!!!!!! I only wish that I had a way to return the total lack of customer support to the excuse for customer service that I have had to deal with for all this time. DO NOT BUY ANY IRONMAN PRODUCT UNLESS SOMEONE ELSE IS IMPORTING IT FROM CHINA AND CAN ACTUALLY GET PARTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT CAME WITH SIMPLE INSTRUCTION TO PUT TOGETHER. MY BROTHER HELP ME PU IT TOGETHER AND IT TOOK ABOUT ONE HOUR. I READ REVIEWS PRIOR TO BUYING THIS AND AFTER COMPARING THIS ELLIPTICAL WITH OTHERS IT WAS THE BEST ONE IN THIS PRICE RANGE, I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND THIS ELLIPTICAL. IT IS A GREAT WORKOUT.
