However, the ATIS 3500 differs from other inversion tables in a couple of crucial ways. First, by virtue of its ab and core training system, the table isolates the abdominals far more effectively than bench training, letting you build and strengthen your abs daily with just a few minutes of work. And second, the table offers 10 different inversion locking angles, letting you find the perfect position for your body type and symptoms.
The ATIS 3500 is outfitted with a durable oval tubing steel frame and a foam backrest with one-inch of memory foam. The backrest is tough yet durable and extends for comfortable head support. More importantly, the inversion system is a breeze to use: once you rest your body against the backrest and slip your feet into the ergonomically molded ankle cushions, simply reach your arms over your head. As your arms go up, your body gradually inverts to the preset angle. The only inputs are your energy and gravity itself.
Users will also appreciate the tough rubber non-skid floor stabilizers, which keep the table stable while you invert, and the extra-long safety handles, which provide an easy return to an upright position. Other details include a height-adjustable frame up to 6 feet 6 inches; support for up to 320 pounds; vinyl safety side covers to protect hands and fingers; a scratch-resistant powder-coated finish; inverted, foam-dipped hand grips that provide maximum stretching while inverted; and a side holder for cell phones, eyeglasses, wallets, coins, watches, and other small items.

Rate the table or it's effectiveness?,

If you've done your research on whether this treatment is right for you then the table is solid, well made, easy to use, good value. I recommend it.
Am I cured? 90%. Did the table cure me? It played a part, as did a lot of exercise, massage, posture improvement, h-wave and adjustment. By the way, for every opinion you will receive an equal and opposite one; for everyone who believes inversion tables are good, you will find one who believes they are not. It's frustrating. I am a 41 year old amateur competitive cyclist and professional person who sits down a lot. Years of poor posture led to the onset of lower back pain and some sciatic nerve irritation. Enough to keep me off the bike. Late 2008 I was diagnosed with dessicated, bulging L4/L5 discs. I tried the doctor but there's not much they can do beyond symptom management without surgery. Physio but I wasn't impressed. Accupuncture alleviated symptoms temporarily. I was referred to a chiro who employed "non-sugical spinal decompression" techniques, h-wave stimulation, cold laser, conventional "cracking" adjustment, massage and physio. After 3 months I am 90% better. Back on the bike. There is argument that the spinal decompression (machine or inversion table) only works when you are on it; there is no long term benefit. I don't know. The table provides relief and also provides a platform for core strengthening exercises; that is the key - improve posture and strengthen the core so that vertebrae are held in the correct position and discs are able to assume their correct position. I use the table 5 mins daily; I am in no discomfort now but it allows me to do some of my core exercises. I also spend 30-60 mins on a mat doing other exercises; it's a serious undertaking but I abused my body for 41 years and I owe it a little TLC now. It also helps to be very positive, to do things which you feel are helping. The body is a self-healing organism. Good luck.

I had researched the ATIS 3500 and 4000 on the Web and, after reading comments from a couple of users about the ankle holds of the 4000 causing them some discomfort, and noticing that the ankle locking lever on the 4000 was considerably shorter than the 3500's necessitating the user to have to bend over farther to engage and disengage it, I decided to purchase the 3500 from Amazon. The unit arrived on schedule by UPS and was easy to assemble with the exception of the two plastic floor pads on the front bottom of the unit. I needed to elongate the hole in the center of each pad and trim the washers with tin snips to get the holes in the pads and washers to line up with the holes in the bottom of the unit. A minor matter and one that anyone with a minimum of tools could have adjusted. The table is solidly built, attractively and intelligently designed and funtions smoothly. At 6'4" and 210 lbs. I feel safe using it and find it well-balanced and the ankle holds comfortable and easy to engage and disengage. I have begun doing inverted crunches and found that at first I needed to assist my weak abs by pulling myself up slightly by those long, padded hand-grips in a kind of "cheating" style. I can now manage several in strict style. Not only have the stretching sessions (I've become "addicted" to using it at least twice daily) kept my sciatica and chronic back problems quiet, but I'm strengthening my core muscles as well. By the way, this unit is now called the ATIS 5000 according to the manual and carton and is sold as the 5000 on a few other websites (for a considerably higher price). Ironman + Amazon = a terrific table at an unbeatable price.

great product,
This review is from: IronMan ATIS 3500 AB Training Inversion Table (Sports)
This product arrived way ahead of the scheduled delivery date, which was nice. It came in a huge box, and the table was about 50% assembled. The parts that I had to assemble were labled fairly well, and everything went together without a hitch. A few crude assembly tools come in the box, but your own socket set and allen wrenches will make assembly easier. I'm a big guy, 6-1 275. This is a very sturdy table that has already paid for itself in lower back relief. Great product.
