I bought these gloves to help me in sweating some pipes and they work as promised and feel great.
In fact they were so comfortable, I started to wear them for other tasks for cut protection and started to see abrasion wear.
Now to be fair they did wear slightly better than regular work gloves, but given the price I decided to now only use them for high temperature tasks now.

I have tough hands to begin with but sometimes you need more protection from hot equipment and objects. These gloves are very comfortable and can withstand a good amount of heat. I use these gloves mostly when working with lead and temperatures about 600-700 degrees. Note they will not be able to take much exposure at these temperatures but if you spill anything on them you will have a few seconds, ( 5 or 6 ) before you start to feel it. You can not grab and hold really heavy hot objects for long because of heat saturation. When used within its range they work well and have saved me from burns many times.

Both my wife and I have used these gloves for carpentry work and light welding jobs in our line of business and they have worked well (1) one advantage is that it protects without causing your hands to sweat (2) they can be washed unlike my leather work gloves which loose their usefullness after washing.
