Anything but package handler's gloves,
By A Customer
This review is from: Ironclad BHG-02-S Box Handler Gloves, Small (Tools & Home Improvement)
Unfortunately I don't have many good things to say about these gloves. As far as comfort, flexibilty, and overall fit I would rate these gloves a 5. However, as far as being called package handler gloves I think you should change the name of these. I am a true package handler for one of our major shipping companies. These gloves did not stand up to the boxes. Within the first week I had no rubber grips left on the palms and finger tips. Within the first month I already had holes in a few of the fingertips. I have owned these gloves just over a month and they are no longer any use to me. END

Gloves wore out in less than a week,

I also work for a major delivery company in the distribution center. Granted, we handle a huge number of boxes (over 1,000 per hour), but these gloves wore out in less than a week. The first two days the gloves performed wonderfully and made my job easier, but on the third day the rubber coating began to wear off. By the end of day four, the smooth leather was showing through. By the end of day five, the fingertips were all bare of the rubber coating and the terry cloth sweat wipe was starting to fail. If you're only handling a small number of packages, then maybe these will work for you. Otherwise, you might want to wait until Ironclad issues their new version, which is supposed to be a box handler glove for those that actually handle boxes for a living. For now, I didn't think the money was at all well spent considering I only got one week of use.

not a real package handler glove,

This review is from: Ironclad Box Handler Gloves BHG-04-L, Large (Tools & Home Improvement)
I work as a delivery driver for one of the parcel companies, handling about 2,000 packages a week. These gloves did not last three weeks, and by that time the fingertips had serverd and a nice hole developed at the palms. I can't imaging how they would last in-building where 5,000 pieces are handled in one night. Surely Ironclad could have developed this glove with feedback and field testing from actual box handlers before labeling them as such.

Gloves that fit like a Glove,

I had a dfficult time deciding between this Ironcald Box Handler Glover or the heavy duty gloves Ironclad also sells. I finally decided to go for dexterity/agility over the more heavy duty gloves. I think I've made a good choice. They are indeed very comfortable gloves and the best fitting gloves I've ever owned even though your at a disadvantage by not being able to try them on before the purchase. All I did was go to my tool shed and checked the size of the work gloves I usually wear. With these gloves you can pick a dime off the floor. Now you wouldn't want to haul firewood all day long with these gloves, and that's why I still use my standard "home improvement store" heavy duty gloves for that kind of work, but than you'll never grip a hammer better with any other gloves than with these, and that is where these gloves shine. These Ironclad Box Handler gloves are in my opinion best suited for picking up small objects off the floor, gripping tools like hammers, screwdrivers, drills, picks, shovels and thing like that. On the down side I find that $25 is a bit high for a pair of light weight gloves. I'm use to paying between $5 and $15 for a pair of work gloves. Would I buy these gloves again? For a great fitting light weight glove that gives your hands greater agility for $15 you bet----But for $25 ahhh maybe, but than maybe not.

This is the first time ever leaving a review for a product.I work at ups and handle over 2,500 packages a day & no gloves would make it more than a few weeks they would fall apart from abuse. The gloves last except the sticky lining on the palm & fingers dont make it over a week.No holes or tears like so many other brand name gloves i previously wasted money with.Long story short excellent glove!

Still great after more than 3 years,

I've used these gloves for more than 3 years. I handle shipments for a large hotel and I use these gloves all-day, everyday for 5-days a week. Although the grip has worn slightly, they are still in pretty good shape and I still use them. I am attaching a picture so take a look for yourself at their condition. I am on here now to buy new ones, but the old are still usable. From the picture of the current product, it appears that I am using an older version, so I cannot attest to the newer gloves, which may be what the previous bad reviewer had. Overall though, these gloves have been outstanding and have saved my hands from dirt, wear and calluses.

What can i say, sucks!,

This review is from: Ironclad Box Handler Gloves BHG-03-M, Medium (Tools & Home Improvement)
The gloves worked for the fist few week, say 3 weeks. soon after that the finger tips started to rip and peel off, keep in mind I was very active handling packages with UPS so i would know best. my fingertips were expose and no longer protected, every package i handled kept sliping and hit the ground. Not strong or havy duty. it's not even that.
not worth the money.

Great Gloves,

I am a Mail Carrier for the Post Office. After several years of winter with painful fingers from the cold and wet. I found the boxhandlers. Although they are not waterproof, they keep my hands warm and protected from ice, road salt and frozen mailboxes. I am able to handle the letters with suprising dexterity.I would recommend these gloves to anyone who works outside in the winter and finger dexterity is very important.

I bought these for working with cargo in Antarctica and so far have been quite impressed. I though the large may have been to small, but this is not the case. I usually go with an XL or XXL depending on the glove since I have a wider hand at the thumb.

My husband is a delivery driver, he loves these 'box handler' gloves. They have a great grip and of course keep his hands warm in winter. Great shipping and service also!
