Unfortunately I don't have many good things to say about these gloves. As far as comfort, flexibilty, and overall fit I would rate these gloves a 5. However, as far as being called package handler gloves I think you should change the name of these. I am a true package handler for one of our major shipping companies. These gloves did not stand up to the boxes. Within the first week I had no rubber grips left on the palms and finger tips. Within the first month I already had holes in a few of the fingertips. I have owned these gloves just over a month and they are no longer any use to me. END

I also work for a major delivery company in the distribution center. Granted, we handle a huge number of boxes (over 1,000 per hour), but these gloves wore out in less than a week. The first two days the gloves performed wonderfully and made my job easier, but on the third day the rubber coating began to wear off. By the end of day four, the smooth leather was showing through. By the end of day five, the fingertips were all bare of the rubber coating and the terry cloth sweat wipe was starting to fail. If you're only handling a small number of packages, then maybe these will work for you. Otherwise, you might want to wait until Ironclad issues their new version, which is supposed to be a box handler glove for those that actually handle boxes for a living. For now, I didn't think the money was at all well spent considering I only got one week of use.

The very first review you see is kind of a negative review - but watch out. It's from 2001. These have definitely been redesigned in the past 12 years.
I'm puzzled by some of these reviews from so-called "package handlers" from the major shipping companies. I work for a major retailer, unloading semi-trucks on a daily basis. We operate with a rather large volume of boxes (2300 to 2800 pieces per day). During 4th quarter that easily doubles.

Honestly, I love these gloves and make my life infinitely easier. The terry cloth is my absolute favorite feature. Most of the time I'm swiping away sweat with the back of my hand anyways, now there's a soft cloth there for me to do it with. Regular washing has little affect on these gloves. I do wash them regularly since they'll get a little gross smelling otherwise.

Fit is perfect, it is well made and have never had a problem with the workmanship of the glove. The entire palm of it is covered with silicon (as you can see in the picture). This is the absolute perfect material to handle boxes with. Boxes never, ever, and I repeat, NEVER, slip from my grasp. I use less force gripping boxes, thus saving my hands from ache and pain. I've noticed that my hands feel a lot better now that I wear these gloves. No more muscle fatigue. I can grasp plastic wrap on some furniture items with relative ease. No more having a 100 pound cabinet wrapped in plastic slip on my feet. I no longer have to think about the placement on my hands of boxes, or worry about uneven or punctured boxes.

The gist here: they make my life easier and would still pay for these things if they cost $30. I won't do my job without them anymore.

My only qualm: palm grip durability. I wish these lasted longer.

I work as a delivery driver for one of the parcel companies, handling about 2,000 packages a week. These gloves did not last three weeks, and by that time the fingertips had serverd and a nice hole developed at the palms. I can't imaging how they would last in-building where 5,000 pieces are handled in one night. Surely Ironclad could have developed this glove with feedback and field testing from actual box handlers before labeling them as such.

I work as a stocker in a relatively large hardware store and bought these gloves with the idea that sometimes, you get what you pay for, being that these were twice as expensive as the ones I was getting, maybe they might last twice as long, or longer.

I chose this rating because they're about twice as expensive as other "Box Handler" gloves that I have bought in the past, and they lasted maybe a week or two longer.

I started using them at the beginning of the year, and they lasted me through January and part way through February, whereas other ones would last about a month.

They fit well and you can slip them off nicely and they started out with more grip than the cheaper ones, but they seem to wear faster than the cheaper ones for some reason.

These would probably be good gloves if you don't handle boxes constantly. I handle boxes for 4 hours a day, 6 days a week. That's all I really do at that job is handle boxes.

They're ok gloves, but not good gloves. I would say they're not worth the money.

I had a dfficult time deciding between this Ironcald Box Handler Glover or the heavy duty gloves Ironclad also sells. I finally decided to go for dexterity/agility over the more heavy duty gloves. I think I've made a good choice. They are indeed very comfortable gloves and the best fitting gloves I've ever owned even though your at a disadvantage by not being able to try them on before the purchase. All I did was go to my tool shed and checked the size of the work gloves I usually wear. With these gloves you can pick a dime off the floor. Now you wouldn't want to haul firewood all day long with these gloves, and that's why I still use my standard "home improvement store" heavy duty gloves for that kind of work, but than you'll never grip a hammer better with any other gloves than with these, and that is where these gloves shine. These Ironclad Box Handler gloves are in my opinion best suited for picking up small objects off the floor, gripping tools like hammers, screwdrivers, drills, picks, shovels and thing like that. On the down side I find that $25 is a bit high for a pair of light weight gloves. I'm use to paying between $5 and $15 for a pair of work gloves. Would I buy these gloves again? For a great fitting light weight glove that gives your hands greater agility for $15 you bet----But for $25 ahhh maybe, but than maybe not.
