I ordered these gloves for my dad for his birthday. He loves them. They have very thin padding in them around the thumb so that if you are raking or pulling rope, you can avoid the calluses. They fit him well, and they are made from a very tough material. If you are looking to do yard work, or machine work, and keep your hands protected, than these gloves will be great for you.

Worked three months straight, every day, with these gloves while doing flood duty in Fargo. These gloves worked great filling and throwing thousands of sandbags and I continue to wear them to this today (almost 8 months later). They are well constructed and have stood everything I have thrown at them but only complaint I have are the tips of the fingers were somewhat constricted when I first bought them.

I bought these for occasional use. They appear to be very well constructed. However, one of the seams around the thumb is very stiff and rubs. I turned the gloves inside out and worked the seams to break them down. This helped, some. If these gloves were used daily the rubbing might be intolerable.
