It gets wrinkled up and that transfers to your clothes if you're not careful.

This ironing blanket fits perfectly on my small dining room table, and it takes up a lot less room than an ironing board.

I also would have appreciated a more "sticky" backing as it slides around a bit while you're ironing.

This product does what it's supposed to do, but I did not like the fact that the top fabric was not sewn tightly enough onto the backing, so it bunches up - especially near the edges. While ironing, I had to shift my clothes, etc. away from the bunched up areas and that made it harder to use. I also would have appreciated a more "sticky" backing as it slides around a bit while you're ironing.

Sooo if you're planning on using this on business trips for your clothes or something along those lines, don't. They only reason I am not sending this back is because 1) it's not worth the price of shipping and 2) I can still use a corner of it for sewing little bags and such (small projects). It looks like a really bad baby-changing mat. There is waay too much material and no way to make it nice and flat. There are these huge wrinkles in it (and ironically enough you can't just iron them out!) as if they made it with too much material so that you could fold it up easily. Like I said, it's okay for the small projects that I do, but absolutely horrible for anything larger than a couple of inches.

I was a little leery about getting this based on some of the reviews. However, I'm glad I bought it. Mine also came with lots of wrinkles from being packaged. The first time I used it, I put in on a table and steam pressed my items. Voila! -- wrinkles gone. It's perfect for using in my crafting area. I can keep it out of the way and very quickly grab it when I need to. The only thing I don't like it is that it's a bit thick and spongy. But I think after several uses, it will probably compress a bit.

The idea was to have a larger area to iron e.g. iron napkins in one "strike".
The ironing blanket is not staying in place (sliding) and on top of it it is wrinkly. How can you iron=flatten anything on a wrinkly surface?
The product is a great idea but it needs lots of improvements!

I hate my ironing board--when this arrived, however, it appeared to be three sheets of very, very flimsy material: the first layer was horrific, my iron dragged along the surface, the second layer was crinkled plastic and the final "foam" layer was so thin that it was already torn. Really, this is something that should not be marketed. I love Amazon, and you would do yourself a favor to NO LONGER MARKET this item. Thank you and happy new year. Tazzjazz

I keep this on top of my dryer. It works great for touching up collars, pocket flaps, and clothes that don't need to look especially crisp. If there was a way to keep it from sliding around I would rate it 5 stars. I hate to lug out the full-sized ironing board.

I am limited for space in my apartment and don't have room for a regular ironing board. This great little guy transforms the bed or the kitchen table or even the floor into ironing space! It's awesome.
