These mats are still gasing out the smell of new tires and they have been outside almost a month. I can't bring them in the house because of the fumes. I regret ever having made this purchase.

This mat is heavy and solid and would be great under a piece of exercise equipment. The problem is that it stinks like rubber. I washed it, let the rain fall on it and it still smells like a new tire store. I have had it outside now for two months and still can't bring it inside. I do not recommend this product unless you have great ventilation where you will be using it.

Knock it off already about the odor!! I have ordered over six of them(on 3 different occasions) in sizes 3' X 4' and 3' X 7', these 'Ironman Deluxe' mats are as advertised: super-strong, rugged, heavy duty, virtually puncture-proof and tear-proof. The other reviewers are being SILLY in their assessment of these mats! They are excellent as treadmill/equipment mats. The mats arrived in perfect condition inside a sturdy cardboard box, they were rolled up and secured with shrink-wrap plastic. There is an odor, that is true and they are located inside my house , the smell will dissipate, please allow about a week.In the final analysis you will be very pleased with them, give them a little time! Great price, free shipping and I would not hesitate to recommend them to a friend!
