Wow, I haven't used the $25 one that Nathan also sells but I don't see how it could be any better than this. The pocket is perfect for two gel packs and the flow out of the bottle is very high even when there is only a few ounces left.

The only thing that might be a little bit of an issue is that if you put ice along with the liquid it is really cold on your hand. I imagine the version of this that uses an insulated bottle would be better for that but then you would probably have to squeeze harder to get the same amount of flow.

Overall, it's a good idea. Water bottle + pouch = ironman quickdraw. Works for me.

Cons
I use when I run, but I have to set the strap to it's closest setting to get a good grip. I have small hands.
Don't leave it in the sun. I left the it in my truck one day and the fabric started to smell really bad. My whole truck smelled like I left old cardboard in it. It went away after a wash though. But it smelt horrible.

Pros
Light.
Carries enough water for a 4 mile run.
I can fit a gel, my ids and a small knife in the pouch.

It's a great idea. It may need some refining but it gets the job done. I use to run with a water bottle in my hand and my id in my shoe. I kept my gels in my pockets, but now its just easier to keep them in the pouch. I just wish the grip would adjust a tad more.

I have to run with water, and it's hard to find a good bottle that fits in my sweaty hand well and doesn't leak. The design of this bottle is good. It seems to be sturdy. However, I don't like that the top doesn't "click" open. I also don't like that you have to squeeze the bottle versus just sucking out the water. I'm a 5'6" woman, and I tightened the straps all the way. It's a comfortable fit and works well for me. So, whether you'll like this bottle depends on what you want.

I bought this Ironman 22-ounce bottle carrier for my long runs. I tested it on a 5-mile run and I love it once I got used to fitting the strap tightly to my hand. And it was easy to drink from it on the run. It beats carrying a 20-ounce Getorade bottle during my runs.

training for 1/2 marathon was easier running with this than my hip pouch. Strap and size makes it easy to run with for short or long runs.

Have run 50 miles with this so far. I have small hands and the strap doesn't get as tight as I wish, but it hasn't been a deal breaker. Also, my HTC Evo phone is a bit too large for the pouch, but it would probably be fine for an IPhone.
