When I first bought THE CORRS "IN BLUE ALBUM" it caught me from the first play. The songs have very catchy choruses and the voice and harmony of THE CORRS is a fresh alternative to the mixed and overly synthesized voices of most of todays artist. Breatheless was a big hit in The U.S. as well as the U.K. While the first hit was a straight shot up the charts the second one in my opinion is not as good, not bad by any means, but not as good. The song, though written by the same writer (Mutt Lang) does not seem to catch the same energy and drive of breatheless. Irresistable is a good an alright song that holds well for itself. Though the song is okay, I would pick up the import single (as I have) for other reasons than the single's title track. The Import CD is also packed with a live acoustic version of at your side. Again, this song isn't as well written or as well thought out as breatheless or some of the other songs on the CD. But it is still a good song with a good chorus. The reason, however, why I do like this song. Is because it so much more tone downed and simplistic from the others, in the fact that it is acoustic. I am a big fan of acoustic versions of songs because it shows more of the artist ability to have a good songs with out too many samples or repetitive unatural sounds. It's the core of the song. Also it showcases the Artist voice because it is more out in the open and less able to hide behind sounds and bangs of instruments. In this respect the songs is really well done. Adrea Corr has a great natural voice with good solid tones. In my opinion THE CORRS are a great acoustic group and rank up there with Incubus and others. The greatest song on this sigle is an Acoustic version of SOMEBODY FOR SOMEONE. It's real clean, and a romantic song about finding love and the possibility of it. It's well vocalized By Andrea and the Guitar in the song is really nice. I got it for the Acoustic version of this song, which is also pretty good on the CD also. If your a Corrs fan you know that Andrea and the her sisters (isn't there a guy in the groups too? lol) can crank out some good vocal and do a great acoustic job. I would get this CD just for the acoustic versions alone. The clarity of the voices and the simplicity of it is worth the grab. Irressistable...maybe not, but still worth the purchase. ~L.M

Just forgive me that simple sentence: "If you have IN BLUE SPECIAL EDITION, it's a waste to buy it" - because all those track you can find on the album...

Okay, I assumed the Corrs rushd this CD single because the B sides or bonus tracks (however you would like to call it) are not really the best. First of all, "Irresistible" is a great song perfectly produced by Mutt Lange. The B sides "Somebody For Someone" and "At Your Side" are not as good as the version on the album therefore it would be better off getting the album instead. Overall, "Irresistible" is great but if you want to get this CD for just the song, I recommend you get the "Give Me A Reason" single instead because "Irresistible" is also on it.
