5.0 out of 5 stars Irresistible Forces
This book is off the chain, and it is oh so HOT and I do mean HOT. Once you beginnig reading this book you will not be able to put it down. I can't say enough about the book. If you read the back of the book it starts off as saying "One Week of MIND BLOWING SEX", and I can truly say that what you are getting. That Dominic is so YUMMY you want be able to get enough of him,...

3.0 out of 5 stars I liked reading this but mmmmm...
Most of the reviews on this book are postive. If you are a diehard fan of Ms Jackson buy this book, if you like a touch of realism in your romances then borrow this book. I find that more and more I am of the latter type of reader. The sex scenes are great, Ms Jackson can do no wrong on that score but I found the plot line hard to swallow. A 25 year old professional asset manager, decides she wants a baby but not a husband. Ok if she was 35 or even 45 I can go with that but 25?! Taylor Steele first cousin of the Steele brothers decides to ask one of her very wealthy clients to father her child at an all expenses paid baby making vacation. The client Dominic Saxon , biracial millionaire (him being mega rich was a very important detail for Taylor) accepts. After that despite enjoying some of the story this unrealisic aspect kept bugging me. If Taylor was working class, not very educated and came up with the same plot she would be potrayed as a fickle woman who wanted a rich baby daddy, but cos she has money herself then her behaviour is considered acceptable? Ooookkkkk. Also as per usual with Ms Jacksons work everyone, well the heroine does, falls in love in one week, alright I know this is fantasy and fiction but pleeease this is too much! Maybe I need to back away from these fairy story type books or a while. LOL

1.0 out of 5 stars An astoundingly bad book, May 26, 2009

Even as a freebie the book's too expensive. Those are hours you'll never get back people.

The plotting is stupid, the writing is excruciating, the dialogue ridiculous. There wasn't a single good part to the book, well, except maybe the part when I realized that I didn't have to finish it about half way thru. There was no gun at my head. I could just put it down and remove it from my Kindle. That part? That part was awesome.

2.0 out of 5 stars Predictable, May 9, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
From the first chapter, you knew how this book was going to end. It was pretty predictable and bland. The middle of the book really had no story or plot - just sex for a week. And, honestly, that got old for me after the first few escapades.

If you're interested in a predictable plot this is for you!

Lousy, lousy writing. Stupid plot; boring, unbelievable, flat, personality-less characters. Subtract the sex (there was so much of it, it became incredibly annoying and nauseating; I must have rolled my eyes about a thousand times) and you probably have about 10 pages of text. Not that any of the ten pages have substance. Please do not buy this book or in any way encourage this author to keep writing or to think she is good at it. This is the first and will be the last book of hers I've read. Thank goodness it was a free read on eharlequin and I didn't actually spend money. Yuck.

1.0 out of 5 stars What a total waste of time! Sticking pins in my eyes would have been more entertaining., July 28, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This book is by far the most ridiculous I have ever had the misfortune of reading! The entire book is about sex...every time Taylor & Dominic had sex, which was constantly and dozens of times a day (give me a break) is 'the best they ever had'..talk about rolling your eyes..and her narrative of each encounter...if you're going to have people have this much sex at the very least would you come up with different words to describe it!?! Everything was predicable, the story was stupid, the characters were boring..oh and Dominic is French so 'he knows how to French Kiss'...is the author of this book...12 years old? If you want to compare this book, to let's say...Penthouse or Playboy Forum...I'd say you'd still be disappointed. It is like an x rated movie gone berserk....but with only 2 people having mind blowing, sex till you drop each and every time, love making for hours upon hours...there is even fainting in there from time to time...oh please. The main characters have more money than entire countries, of course they have bodies that are absolutely perfect, a Greek God and Goddess would be jealous at the descriptions of Taylor & Dominic, isn't it great that these two perfect people got together...and to have a baby. I'd say don't bother, skip this book, I only downloaded it because it was free...talk about getting your money's worth! If I could give it a 'no star' rating I would. 1 star is to much.

1.0 out of 5 stars Wanted to like it but..., November 24, 2009

I enjoy reading romances and erotic romances. I say that to let you know I'm a fan of the genre and give the authors a lot of latitude before calling a book awful. But, this I could not like or finish. The writing was too stiff and mechanical. I guess the erotic scenes could be considered hot but if you can't feel the characters doing the mattress gymnastics, it ain't very exciting. You know how some movies are terribly written but star one of your favorite actors who elevate the script and make it enjoyable? Well, this book was like a bad movie with bad acting: bad all the way around. Some of the diaglogue could have been more fun if the characters weren't so flat. When the hero said, "Now I give you my baby" just as he prepares to flood the heroine with love juice, well that was just too ridiculous, too unromantic, too robotic.

I really wish the writer could loosen up and let the characters flow. She's got the goods with a fun plot and fun characters and good handling of love scenes but when it all comes together it's flat, plodding and unentertaining.

2.0 out of 5 stars not so hot, May 14, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I know this got high reviews but I found it contrived and to have an almost paint-by-numbers plot. If I'd bought it for the beach I'd have disppointed and only my joy in my new Kindle kept me going. If she had used the phrase, "burning up the sheets" one more time, I'd have had to delete it right there and then!

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst book I've ever read....., February 12, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Not even worth the $0.00 price tag! I am so mad I wasted my time with this. The story and characters are completely horrible. I ended up stopping at about 70% done because I felt like poking myself in the eye. If I had to read one more time that Dominic said something in his "husky" voice, I was going to scream.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too Expensive At $0, November 15, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was driven to finish this book by the same impulse that drives people to rubberneck at horrific traffic accidents.

Many romance novels lack an interesting plot but the characters in this story were so one-dimensional as to be nearly transparent and the plot as flimsy as wet tissue. The author's mishandling of biology is overshadowed only by her mishandling of the English language. I still can't quite figure out how this book became published in paperback, but the scariest thing of all is that it appears to be one of a series.

A word to the wise: Never read a book that contains the sentence, "His tongue was a weapon of mass seduction."
