I use this almost every day because I have a large can of drill bits that I purchased in bulk years ago. All are sharp and none are well marked. I can size them fast and get to work using this tool. I purchased one for each of my brothers and more for my friends.

This item is indispensable and was lost by my lovely children, so right over to Amazon and found me another one at a great price. Steel so is indestructible, and so very handy for many uses (like determining bit size before putting bits back in their carrier, finding your screw size so you can choose a bit just a little smaller). I could not live without it!
