For a toolbox it's a bit on the big side, if you load it with tools it's going to weigh quite a bit. Well made, seems heavy duty, and it's made in the USA. Gotta love that. The yellow pieces on top open up and provide storage trays for small parts and pieces. The end openings fit an irwin drill bit case and my gloves shoved in behind. As long as the size isn't an issue I think you'll love this box.

My only complaints:
the removable tool tray warped so it doesn't seat in the tool box...may have been caused by overloading it but still disappointing. Also the yellow compartments on top are again cheap plastic prone to failing, especially the hinge attachments

This tool box is ideal if you work in -30C it will not crack or break in the extreme cold, especially when it's loaded with weight.

Trust me went through 1/2 dozen in the past, price is worth it!

I live in a place where a metal toolbox would quickly rust out. I did a good deal of research on toolboxes, and even looked at some in person at home-depot. I saw this one on amazon and it was bought for me as a gift.

Honestly I was very impressed with it, its a very good size, and whatever material its made out of is awesome. It fits all my tools with space to spare. I'm glad I chose this one.

First off this item is only 26 inches long not 29 as it states in this add for some reason, Like another reviewer wrote the tool tray doesn't seat right after a few uses and the yellow plastic lids on top fall off the hinges all the time. But besides these things I have had one of these for over a year and have literally loaded it with 50plus pounds of tools with no other problems. I'm a carpenter's apprentice and I can fit long hand saws and even my framing hammer in this thing no problem the only actual serious problem is it's so big I can over load it and not be able to carry it, seriously that's why I'm looking at this add right now I'm looking to buy another one and have two so I can change the weight distribution a bit you know. I can't find em in local hardware stores anymore and really do want another one, and my boss wants one too if I can find 2 of them.

I liked the design because it looked like it would hold a lot of tools and keep them organized. After using it first time I found the tool tray is useless. The tray doesn't seat in the box properly and anything put in the tray ends up in the bottom. As a woodworker, it irritates me when thing don't work properly.

The Irwin 410-001 tool box I just purchased has passed it's first big test with flying colors. I work in Raleigh, NC and, as you may have heard, we're going thru a bit of a drought right now. Not used to having to worry about the rain lately, I left my Irwin in the back of my open bed pickup truck overnight and we had a small downpour.Now my truck was parked on a hill and the bed collected a sizable pool of water in which my Irwin sat half submerged by morning. When I saw what had happened I pulled it out, opened it up, and not a single drop of water had gotten inside the Irwin! Excellent product!
