I like these much better than the spring clamps we all use. It exerts more pressure with an easier release than a spring clamp of similar size. Just squeeze to lock it and it stays put. I used a couple the other day to hold a straight edge for routing dado's. I cut 3/4 x 1/2 deep runs with no slippage from the clamps. When I was done with each one I just squeezed the release and went on to the next . Lickety split. Nice idea !

Look! True One Hand Operation!,

I bought mine to hold shop-made jigs in place while routing and sawing. They are very convenient to use. The jaw has a maximum opening of about 2", but to get a really tight grip, about an 1 1/2" thick or less works best. I always keep the black release lever on the top handle if I can. Two of these will hold a jig very tightly. The rubber pads will not mar your workpiece or slip.I have modified a few of my jigs by gluing 400 grit sandpaper to the bottom of the jig with spray-on contact cement so they grip the workpiece better. One finger will release even the tightest grip by pulling up in the black release lever. They are so much easier to use than "C" clamps or even larger Vise Grip bar clamps, which both have to be operated from below the table to assure a lower profile in your work area. These are tough little clamps that you will find new uses for whenever you're in the shop. Get several - you don't want to end up "one clamp short of a set-up."

AWESOME CLAMPS,

The best way to describe this clamps is...It's like a "c clamp you dont have to thread up and down. Just a quick squeeze and poof, your locked down. The release can be done with one finger, how simple is that?A spring clamp of this size would take some real brawn to line up and clamp. Not this one people, it's as easy as squeezing toothpaste from a tube.It wont rust or leave those c clamp dimples we all hate. It' plenty big, wont mar your work and the jaw ends pivot for a good fit.Way to go American Tool, this ones a hit.I cant wait to see whats next. Now get out there and clamp away.
