This is a very large compendium on critical care medicine. I had wished that it included a CD containing the text, but instead there is a login to the site which has all this and more. The information given is useful and very extensive. At times it appears a little too cookbooky for me, but I suppose that this is unavoidable unless they were to create an encyclopedic work. Sometimes, cookbook answers are what you are looking for. I found it useful in my preparation for recertification in critical care. I am glad I will not have to lug it around, though, and can use the website.

One of the best and comprehensive works on all aspects of critical care. Just one suggestion to publishers. Why not have a totally paperless edition, online or otherwise. Easier to search, doesn't weigh 6kg and today's way of doing things.

Very good one. Every intensivist must own it. Well explained, clear, I have found many answers inside.

The Bible of ICU medicine, I have read 3 editions and each is better than the prior. It also is extremely useful in studying for the boards.
