I got these things for free, after I had passed them up many times because they were to expensive for a plastic clamp.
I must admit, grudgingly, that these are pretty darn good. I use them for clamping boards to the sawhorse, holding things in place for fastening. They allow you to get the boards sucked up tight before you drive a screw. They are pretty handy and have a good amount of holding power. They are super fast to use and are easy to adjust with one hand.(useful when you are holding a board in place with the other).
Update: after almost a year I have not broken one.

I am the owner of several Irwin products and am quite pleased with the quality.
Seeing these on Amazon prompted me to make the purchase. Some people may shy away from purchasing these clamps because of some plastic but these clamps are extremely sturdy should last a lifetime if treated properly.

These are the nicest clamps I've ever had! They are quick and easy to use. Can be applied with one hand while holding something together. The clamping force is very strong. I've been using a pair of these for the last year or so in my new workshop and I don't know how I got along without them! It's like having an extra pair of hands to hold pieces together while drilling holes and putting in screws. I just got through putting together a workbench using the 4X4 Basics Work Bench Kit and a set of shelves on it with the 4X4 Basics Shelf Links system. I never would have been able to get it all together without being able to use these clamps to hold things while I drilled and screwed pieces together. With the rubber caps on the clamping faces I didn't have to worry about marking the finish on the pieces either like the old pipe clams or big C clamps would. And they are a lot easier to apply and remove one handed which is very difficult to do with pipe clams and C clamps.
Before building my workbench I used them while putting together a 10'x10' Barn Style Storage Shed from a kit that I got from Lowe's. These things helped so much I got almost the entire project done by myself only needing help standing up the walls and decking the roof. I also used them when building several sets of shelves with the 4X4 Basics Shelf Links for my shop and storage building. And even for that these held things together for me while putting in the screws. (I used screws for almost everything that was usually done with nails) After a year of use they still work flawlessly.
I like them so much I had to order this 4 pack. Now that I got them my only complaint is that I didn't order 2 packs of them instead of just the one!

Bought these for general around the house wood projects to hold together for glue. Worked great for shelves and kids projects. So far so good I have used them just about every day for over 2 weeks now and they work great. The feet slip off every now and then if you try clamping just the corner of your project and they seem to be getting a little stiff already. Nothing I cant live with for the price. Great investment for the DIY.

These clamps are outstanding especially when you are clamping small items such as toys, banks and other small items. The best part about them is that you can adjust them with one hand.

I have had these clamps before, and you should be aware of an inherent weakness. Over time of usage or if excessive pressure is used, the clamp will split at the lever release point. It is just a design flaw. But, at about $5.00 a clamp and ease of use I can live with that.

These clamps are perfect for one person trying to do a project that needs 6 hands. The price for 4 was only slightly higher than the cost of one identical item in my local hardware store. Very happy...

I like the convenience of being able to use the clamps with one hand. Easy to tighten or loosen. They are small enough to be able to do some semi precision clamping, too.

Good tool. Just wish they were slighty cheaper in price.
