a close family member was diagnosed with
cancer and her son asked, Is It Contagious? The goal of the Is
It Contagious? series is to help parents and children communicate
about illness. Amy lives in New York City with her husband and
children.

Vern Kousky was born in Seattle, Washington, and now lives in
Brooklyn, NY, where he teaches writing and literature. Is It
Contagious? series is his first work for children.

I am a nurse freguently caring for children in a hospital setting. My children are grown and this book helps me find the

appropiate level of communication. The pictures aid concepts that can be built upon as the child ages. Looking forward
