It depends what you are looking for. It is graphic, disturbing, haunting, but expertly written and painfully honest. It's also written in poetry form. If you are okay with reading intense books in a unique and unconventional style, go for it! It's completely different from what I normally read, and I loved it.

You are so right, if just looked at as content it is disturbing, but well written. I would suggest it to mature teens who would get the connecting levels. I read it before I decided to buy it for my collection.
