4.0 out of 5 stars Not Free SF Reader, April 21, 2008
This review is from: Isaac Asimov's Detectives (Paperback)
Another short anthology of work taken from Asimov's science fiction magazine. Unlike some of the more fantasy-oriented topics, there is a much larger range of work to draw on with a theme like this, as there are many sf detective type stories. This bunch hence manages a 3.67. Egan's story is an excellent example such. The Varley and Kress pieces are superior to the more mundane Wilhelm and Asimov stories, too.

Isaac Asimov's Detectives : THE BARBIE MURDERS - John Varley
Isaac Asimov's Detectives : COCOON - Greg Egan
Isaac Asimov's Detectives : THE GORGON FIELD - Kate Wilhelm
Isaac Asimov's Detectives : RITES OF SPRING - Lisa Goldstein
Isaac Asimov's Detectives : THE BACKWARD LOOK - Isaac Asimov
Isaac Asimov's Detectives : FAULT LINES Nancy - Kress
