Isabella McBride was born and raised in California. But she was not a typical California girl. Since her parents were German immigrants, she was a little, how would you say it, unique.
While her friends were wearing Jordache jeans and Cherokee shoes, she wore polyester purple doggy print leggings with Salamander shoes. As they were learning graceful instruments such as the piano, she was lugging around a 15 pound accordion. She mastered the 70s Muzak hits "La Paloma Blanca" and "The Yellow Rose of Texas."
She has a degree in English from U.C. Berkeley, an M.S. in Holistic Nutrition, and most importantly, a degree in Fashion Design, where she learned not to wear doggy print leggings.
She lives in California with her husband and two daughters.
