Not very good for a developer,
By A Customer
This review is from: Isdn: Concepts, Facilities, and Services (Mcgraw-Hill Computer Communications Series) (Paperback)
I found this book to contain a lot of "marketing" as opposed to technical details which i am more interested in. The book is divided into 2 parts: N-ISDN and B-ISDN. I was hoping the book would spend a lot of time laying foundations and giving details about LAPD, Q931 etc... But it covers those fundamental topics very lightly. Yet it spends 3 long chapters on ISDN "marketing" so to speak. For example, it goes into painfull details on different ISDN services and how much they cost etc... etc...I am dissapointed with this book.

This book, as with the entire signature series is excellent. The Signature Series should be everyones first and last reference book. They are clear, concise, and to the point. I especially like their ATM Applications and Theory and their TCP/IP books. This ISDN book is another winner

This is an excellent book. It covers much more than I had expected. I use it often in my research for the classes that I teach. It has been an excellent guide.
