For the smile on my little girl's face, I would have gladly paid more ... even though I expected it to be ruined in a week or two. But this little music box has really held up and she is just as thrilled with it as the day she unwrapped it.

I bought this music box for my niece because I had a similar one as a little girl. Mine had a dancer with a real tulle tutu and satin lining, and I think Mom paid maybe $8 for it. This one is a much cheaper product. The box has no lining, just high-density, coated paperboard. At Christmastime, I discovered a better one at Wal-Mart for less than $10 with no shipping. You can probably find a cheaper one with a little digging. Pass it up, unless you just have to have it.

My five year old loves the music box. I was just disappointed in how easily the ballerina comes off (and my daughter has cried when the ballerina has become lost) and the box is difficult to shut without the ballerina.
