Isla Del Sol is Armik's latest album to date.

Armik carries forward his established reputation of a master composer of tunes of surprising beauty and passion with this album.

The first track is also the title track which has become customary since Armik's second album 'Gypsy Flame'.

The first track 'Isla Del Sol' is a masterful composition. Whenever I listen to it, it takes me to a faraway land, away from my worries, my physical self and to a place where everything seems reborn and fresh.

Armik's passion is very well show cased in this tune. The whole song is brimming with the intense passion that has become Armik's trademark.

'Marbella' is the second song of the album. It starts off with beautiful, rapid strumming of the guitar strings that only Armik seems to be able to manage.

It touches the deepest part of your personality.

The third tune is 'Heaven's Touch' and it proves that Armik has one. It is a soft tune that takes you riding on the waves of a calm and placid ocean.

'Tropical Breeze' is the next one and it does to you what a tropical breeze is supposed to do. It refreshes you and makes you think all the romantic thoughts you haven't thought in a long time.

At times it is very sad and Armik's guitar gently weeps.

Throughout the tune you feel the undercurrents of melancholy and sadness.

The fifth track is 'Hearts Racing'. Armik has a gift of choosing the most appropriate titles for his songs and this particular one is a very good example.

The starting reminds me somewhat of the starting of 'Ritmos Flamenco' from Malaga album but you realize quickly that it is not the same.

This song really does set your heart racing. You only have to listen to it to believe me.

In this tune Armik does something that he has hardly done before and not to this effect and extent. He uses a great vibrato. He makes the notes vibrate with such lively passion that it leaves you gaping in awe.

He plays the main part of the tune alternately with bass strings and using the higher notes with equal mastery.

The next song is 'One Summer Night' and it is as beautiful as its name. It reminds you of your most cherished times in life.

The seventh track is actually a thing of indescribable beauty. It is a haunting tune of pure romance and love.

When you hear the start of the main tune after the initial notes you are immediately shocked. It is something like you have never heard before.

A big personal favourite of mine, this song has such lilt and passion that I promise you that you wouldn't come across anywhere else but when you are listening to Armik.

It is as beautiful as one of my biggest favourites which is 'Mi Amor' of Rubia.

Take a listen and you would know what I mean.

The eighth track is named after the famous and historic Spanish city - 'Cordoba'. It is a beautiful, beautiful track and the use of bass strings in this tune is once again superb.

The next song is simply outstanding.

This is mellow Armik at his best.

The tune sways with soft currents of romance and fervour.

I just close my eyes when I listen to this track and I let it do things to my mind and my feelings.

Track number ten is named after the famous tourist spot near Los Angeles that is known for its romantic beauty.

It is called 'Half Moon Bay' and it is a song full of different colours of music.

Again the tune is played alternately with bass strings and the higher notes and makes you sway with its sounds and rhythms.

The second last track is 'Forever and Ever' and it is a very romantic piece.

In the last track of the album, Armik maintains the tradition he started in his second album 'Gypsy Flame' and plays without any orchestral support. It is called Una Guitarra and it never lets you feel the absence of accompaniment.

On the whole, this album has enhanced Armik's reputation as a brilliant musician and helps in establishing his position further as the King of Passion.

This is the first CD of Armik's that I've ever bought. Had a trial of this CD at Tower Records in Suntec, Singapore. Fell in love immediately and bought it. Thereafter I kept on listening to the beautiful strumming of Armik's guitar almost every hour at work. The music makes me feel like falling in love over and over again. My hats off to you, Amrik!!!

Armik has this amazing ability to completely relax the mind and soul through his music. This album is no exception. Once you hit play, just sit back and let the music entrance you. This is very, very good flamenco guitar and I highly recommend this album.

I first heard Armik's Gypsy Flame in California. I purchased that one and whenever I listen to it, I'm transported to another era. Since then I've purchased almost all his cd's and continue to love them equally. Isla del Sol stands out a little bit more for me because it's the one I equate with a muse, sun, comforting arm, vacation...you get the idea.
