No es su mejor novela pero es bastante buena,

No es la mejor novela de Mendoza, pero tiene un encanto indudable. El escritor la habrá escrito, según dice, en el mismo escritorio que su obra magistral La verdad sobre el caso Savolta, pero no tiene La isla inaudita la misma calidad de una obra de genio que la novela anterior. Sin embargo, me ha gustado mucho.
Fábregas, el protagonista de esta novela, es un catalán acomodado que llega a Venecia en búsqueda de una existencia distinta de la que ha dejado en su ciudad natal. Venecia resulta siendo para Fábregas una especie del castillo kafkiano del que no va a encontrar salida, adentrándose siempre más y más lejos en la existencia tan poco ordinaria de esta ciudad. La gente a la que encuentra Fábregas en su estancia en Venecia comparte con él unas historias complejas y misteriosas que lo atrapan alli para siempre. La edición de Kindle es de muy alta calidad. Errores en el texto casi no hay. El diccionario electrónico Harrap funciona a maravilla con este texto.
