About the Author
Majid Fakhry is Emeritus Professor of philosophy and Visiting Research Professor at the Center for Muslim- Christian Understanding, Georgetown University, Washington D.C. His publications include 'Averroes: His Life, Works and Influence'; 'Al-Farabi: Founder of Islamic Neoplatonism' ( both for Oneworld): 'A History of Islamic Philosophy '( Columbia University Press) and 'An Interpretation of the Qur'an ( New York University Press).
