Ingenious adventure in a madman's realm,
By
This review is from: The Lost Island of Castanamir (AD&D Fantasy Roleplaying, RPGA Module C3) (Paperback)
One of the cruellest introductory adventures of all time. Get together those veteran braggarts, roll up some new characters, and show them what a REAL adventure is! The novice PCs are washed ashore upon the Lost Isle, without hope of survival; but luckily for them (?), they've found the nether stronghold of the great exiled Magus, Castanamir. Sure, he's evil, but he also has quite a sense of humor, and down in these parts, every couple decades or so he tends to get really lonely... oh by the way, he's dead now, but don't worry, he's left quite a legacy for his minions, and they've made a bit of a religious observance on the absurdity of reality! If you're feeling mischieovous and merciless, C3 is your module.

I just picked up a copy of this module used. I'm in the process of completing my classic module collection and I never bought C3.
It's a very middle of the road module and easily the worst of the C series. I'd hold off unless you get a great deal. |
