This review is from: Island Dreamer (The Christy Miller Series #5) (Paperback)
This book is really awesome just like all of Robin's books. I have read all of the Christy Miller series from the church library and i am buying my own set now. I have read all the Sierra Jenson series and many other books by Robin Jones Gunn. I would recommend this book and all of her other books to anyone. They really help you in your walk with God and teach you many great lessons. I think it is amazing the way God is working in my life through this wonderful author. Thanks

Hawaii Dreams,

This review is from: Island Dreamer (The Christy Miller Series #5) (Paperback)
I love this book! It is my favorite in the series. As a devout Christian I can understand what Christy feels. If you love Christ and romance along with adventure and annoying friends, this is for you! I love Hawaii and think Christy is soooooo lucky to be able to go on her B-day. Thanks Robin for helping me stay strong in Him!

Changed My Mind,

Okay, as I re-read the book, I have changed my mind about several points. Christy is still spoiled and doesn't show respect for her parents and relatives but still, even she didn't deserve the treatment dished out by Paula. For starters, even before the surprise trip to Maui, Paula was already insulting Christy and just being downright rude to her. Next, though no fault of Christy's, Paula causes them to miss their flight as a result of her selfishness and blatant disregard and disrespect of the family. The story progresses to Paula's continually talking down, belittling and mocking Christy just because "she's changed so much." It gets worse as Paula constantly comes on to Todd, knowing that Christy liked him and wanted to be a couple with him. To Paula, really? If that's how you treat your best friend, with friends like you, who needs enemies? I revise my position to state this: Paula, and Paula alone deserved to have her behind sent home right away. She should have first been forewarned that "if you keep treating Christy poorly and if you keep talking like that to Christy, I'm sorry but you will be on the first plane back to Wisconsin. You girls have your differences but I won't have you acting like that and treating Christy like this." And I would have followed through and wouldn't care how angry her parents or family would have been. Then if time and money allowed, they could've offered to fly one of Christy's TRUE friends to Hawaii and make it right for Christy; Tracy or Katie, maybe? In summary, this is a sad illustration of what happens when you are treated to an extravagant vacation in paradise and the wrong person, be it friend, relative, or significant other accompanies you on this trip. So sad....

Dreams,
By A Customer
This review is from: Island Dreamer (The Christy Miller Series #5) (Paperback)
I have read all of the Christy Miller books, and this one is my favorite. I laughed and cried and experienced the joy along with Christy. I feel as though I am I am there, because a lot of the things Christy went through, I have too. I have know read all of the Christy Miller books and I am on Don't You Wish, book 3, of the Sierra Jensen series. It will be "awesome" to see what happens to Todd, Christy, Doug, Sierra, and everyone else in the rest of the Sierra Jensen series and Christy's college years. Robin is such a great author, and I have become involved in her books. She has kept my interest, and got me closer to God.

A Hawaiian Delight,
By A Customer
This review is from: Island Dreamer (The Christy Miller Series #5) (Paperback)
This book was like really really good. so neato. anywayz, Paula is sooo annoying. yup. well, Christy's birthday wish is almost fulfilled, but then Todd has leave the patio thingy. and why does Rick hafta call? He ruins her night with Todd. Oh well. This isn't the best of the series but oh well. it wasn't bad or anything. but you gotta read it to understand the rest of the series, i guess. it's like a piece of the puzzle: however useless and unimportant it seems, it still plays an important part in the whole puzzle. well anywayz, i hope you enjoy it!!

Christy+Todd=Hmm?,
By A Customer
This review is from: Island Dreamer (The Christy Miller Series #5) (Paperback)
This book was one of the best books I've ever read in my entire life! I am 12 years old, but I realize the concept of the story line and plot. Paula, no offense, reminds me of a "cheerleader" at my school. I'm going into middle school this fall, and I need a really good book to help keep me not so nervous, and believe me, these help alot. I recommend #1-5 in the Christy Miller series and #1, 8-10 in the Sierra Jensen series b/c that's all I've read so far!

It was an incredibly good book, only it mad me mad reading it.I hated Paula -the way she kept flirting with Todd! I felt sorryfor Katie -how she was pushed to the back burner. I wonder if everyone else that reads this book feels my frustration? This was still a very good book series that I recomend to teenage girls over and over again. Anyways, Read And Enjoy!

BEST BOOKS EVER!!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Island Dreamer (The Christy Miller Series #5) (Paperback)
I am a hopeless romantic when it comes to books, even though I am 15, so these are perfect. This is probably the best out of the sereies. I am a Todd fan so I enjoyed him being in this book the whole way through. Paula did get on my nerves by always trying to steel Todd away from Christy and copying ever thing Christy did, but it all turned out fine. I recomend this bood for sure! Its great. I think this book deserves 5+ stars... well maybe Im excaturating a little... but I still love it.

I LOVE THIS BOOK, BUT I DON'T REALLY LIKE PAULA. I LIKE THE WAY MRS. GUNN TELLS THE STORY AND THEIR ABOUT REAL PLACES. THIS BOOK HELPS ME IN HOW EVEN YOUR OLD BEST FREIND COULD CHANGE AND YOU SHOULD PRAY FOR HER AND NOT GET MAD AT HER.
