5.0 out of 5 stars Romantic Suspense August 20, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Jennings has written a puzzling mystery that take place in Hawaii. Sarah Woods is a middle-aged mom in a bad marriage, thinking she's taken a vacation to patch things up with her husband. But when the PI she's worked for in the past shows up, she realizes it's a set up and he needs her help in finding a missing child. The suspense builds when Max, a security expert who Sarah holds a torch for shows up, and the main suspect in the child's dissapearance is killed. Can Sarah find this missing child? Does she care enough about her jerk of a husband to not cheat on him with Max?
This is a fun, well-written novel that's just as good (or better) than the sort you usually have to pay over $10 for! If you like mysteries, strong female characters, romance, and books set in paradise, look no further.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of twists and turns and a protagonist with moxie December 16, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Sara Woods has a secret life. Her estranged husband thinks she is a massage therapist, but her real job as a private investigator is a lot more exciting. When Sara and her husband are sent on a vacation to Hawaii she quickly finds out the trip is work related. An ill infant has been stolen from a wealthy family. Sara must use her sleuthing skills and intuition to find the baby before it's too late. As the details of the kidnapping are revealed, Sara must also address her personal life, which complicates the investigation.

Sara is a very likable character who truly cares about her mission. I enjoyed her moxie, intelligence and overall approach to life and the case. She deals with her personal life in a realistic manner as she tries to solve the case with her team. Author Jennifer Jennings has done a great job of adding twists and turns throughout the story so that the reader is totally enthralled and always guessing who did it. I could not put this book down and am sorry to see that this is the last book in the series.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good Read April 2, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This was a pleasant read, but it is more like an outline of what could have been a tremendous one. The plot was excellent, but the ending suggested that the author was tired of the story and just wanted to be done with it. The characters were believable, although none had exceptional, or strong, personalities.

The negatives are exclusively with editing. For example, "desert" to mean "dessert" should never have made it into print. In the use of a family name, the possessive case is not used to make the plural. Because so many of the free books on Kindle have serious flaws, it is my hope that free Kindle is the first step in publishing and that the editing is taken care of before the books go to hard copy or to pay status on Kindle.

1.0 out of 5 stars Possessive v plural! March 19, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
It's Terribly distracting to read a book that NEVER gets the plural form of a last name right an has serious issues with you're v your. Apostrophes do not belong anywhere you add an s! It's not "let's go tell the Sanborn's" or "do the sanborn's know your coming?"
If authors want to be taken seriously why don't they get this stuff right???
Aside from that the plot is silly and the ending totally out of left field. I finished the book because it's 3:00 am and I needed something to do.

2.0 out of 5 stars Learn how to spell!! May 21, 2013
By G&T
Format:Kindle Edition
If you wish to write, at least learn the difference between "your" and "you're"! The poor use of an editor makes your writing painful to read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Island of Illusians May 20, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
A fun, light read with a lot going on with a wee bit of romance thrown in for good measure. It was interesting enough, but not
overly consuming. Ending of the case was not as I expected.

2.0 out of 5 stars fun mystery But..... April 20, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It was a fun mystery, but I didn't like the aspect of the female main character having an affair while still married.

Interesting, but not quite believable. Good story line, but left too much unfinished. I was disappointed with all the loose ends.

Nice light read. Made me homesick for Hawai'i. There were a few typos in the book like mixing up your and you're witch was a little disconcerting.
