OK, granted, I've been a Sci/Fi fan ever since that day as a little kid, sitting in a darkened theatre with my dad, watching "Star Wars" in it's original release. HOWEVER, I am also an ardent purveyor of all dramatic mediums, an industry professional, and, perhaps by nature of that profession, indeed also a shrewd, passionate critic. I suppose a mixture of "nothin's on" boredom and mild curiosity about a miniseries "revival" (of the hokey 1970s ABC show of the same name) brought me into Ron Moore's BSG, but the incredible writing, heartbreakingly familiar, richly developed characters and perfection in casting make this a show that is better than most anything I've seen on television in a very long time. For Sci/Fi fans, if you're one of the last 10 on earth who somehow haven't already become captive to this phenomenal tapestry, it does not disappoint one iota. While the dramatic element is the meat of the show, the sci/fi action and effects are the gravy. Watch the miniseries and at least one episode, from Season One, "33". If you don't find yourself hooked in to watching the entire series by then, you are either a frakking machine or your tastes lean more to shows and films about bodily functions, namely flatulence... and thus you should waste not one more moment looking to BSG for your enjoyment, but to the hundreds of other shows and films out there that cater to your brand of um, entertainment. I will miss this show and these fine characters greatly. So Say We All.

Missed this one originally on my DVR, Huge icestorm. I am very glad that I had the option to watch this on Amazon. Great Episode. Battlestar was one of the best shows on TV!

I ordered the whole season on unbox by accident because I missed an episode on vacation and couldn't wait until the next week. The season was a better deal but then I decided I didn't need to pay twice since I was going to buy the DVD when it came out. Amazon refunded my money no problem. As for the series and episodes - they are all great and I enjoyed them all. Amazon unbox is nice to have too.
